Gingerbread Houses have long been a tradition associated with the Christmas holiday. The first gingerbread houses were crafted in Germany in the early 1800s (with the making of gingerbread in Europe dating back all the way to the 11th century).
Fast forward to present time, and we’re still enjoying the fun, the creativity and the taste of the classic gingerbread house. Only today, we don’t just make traditional houses at the bakery. We infuse bright colors and whimsical embellishments and even make fast food restaurants. Take a look…
We make these each year for a customer that gives them as corporate gifts to the In-N-Out and Carl’s Jr headquarters.
The details of the “houses” are what makes them so fantastic – from the mini burgers, to the meal trays complete with fries, drink and to-go bag, to the drive through menu board. Not sure how we’ll top them next year, but I know we will!
Now that I’ve made everyone hungry for a double-double, we also have a lot of cute houses available for order or purchase in the shop that would be perfect for your Christmas table or to give as a gift to family or friends.
People that know me don’t have to guess which are my favorites – the pink and candy sprinkle ones, of course!
If you like more classic styles, you’ll love these.
So, don’t let the holiday go by without bringing one of these timeless Christmas treats from our home to yours.
Even the most famous house gets one every year!
